Visit the surroundings
Nearly six million visitors from all over the world gather in Lourdes every year. Since the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858, the Pyrenean city has filled with peace and brotherhood to the rhythm of its visitors on the banks of the Gave. A cosmopolitan city, Lourdes proudly displays its origins. The 11th century fortified castle, listed as a Historic Monument, and its Pyrenean museum as well as the Pic du Jer recall its position as a lock at the entrance to the Upper Pyrenean valleys.
From the fortified castle of Lourdes to the Pic du midi de Bigorre, certain sites in our region will be unmissable during your visit.
