Audio guide in English
The Corniche d'Or, or Corniche de l'Estérel, is a road that connects Saint-Raphaël to Mandelieu-la-Napoule.
The Corniche d'Or is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful roads in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, with a succession of magnificent panoramas. The colors of the Estérel massif are particularly resplendent and flamboyant at sunrise and sunset.
The beaches, creeks and coves nestled among the red rocks follow one another along this road and constitute heavenly places.
The Estérel corniche is notably dominated by the peak of Cap Roux (453 m), the peak of Aurelle (323 m) and peak of the Bear (488 m).
The road is divided between the department of Var and the department of Alpes-Maritimes, with the presence of several hamlets and districts of the municipalities of Saint-Raphaël and Théoule-sur-Mer: Miramar for the municipality of Théoule-sur-Mer, le Trayas, Anthéor, Agay, le Dramont for Saint-Raphaël.
