 Brigitte Bardot's Grave
Saint-Tropez Marine Cemetery, 8 Chemin des Graniers

In early January 1983, before a television camera, Brigitte Bardot, a Parisian by birth and a resident of Saint-Tropez, came to pay her respects at the grave of her parents, who had died in the 1970s. Her house, La Madrague, was nearby, and she spoke of this very special place, but also of her horror of death.

Brigitte Bardot, also known by her initials "BB," was born on September 28, 1934, in Paris and died on December 28, 2025, in Saint-Tropez. She was a French actress, model, and singer. With 45 films and more than 70 songs to her credit, she is one of the most famous artists in the world. Interrupting her acting career in 1973, she became a prominent animal rights activist in the 1970s.

Brigitte Bardot is not alone in the marine cemetery; she is surrounded by the graves of Vadim, Braclay, and Bachelet.

Roger Vadim, born Vadim Plemmianikoff (1928-2000), was a French director, screenwriter, actor, novelist, and poet. He made Brigitte Bardot famous with the 1956 film "And God Created Woman."
The director introduced the young woman to the world. In February 2000, he died of cancer at the age of 72, and on the day of his funeral, Brigitte Bardot was at the side of Marie-Christine Barrault, his last wife, and Jane Fonda and Catherine Schneider, who had also shared his life.

Eddie Barclay, born Édouard Ruault (1921-2005), jazz musician and show business producer In Saint-Tropez, Eddie Barclay is unforgettable for his white parties. Born in 1921 and died in 2005, he rests in the cemetery, and his tomb is exceptional. A music producer, he is known for his eight marriages but also, and above all, for his record label, Barclay. He produced and developed the careers of numerous artists—Dalida, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, Léo Ferré, Hugues Aufray, Eddy Mitchell, Michel Delpech, Nino Ferrer, Nicoletta, Daniel Guichard, and many others.

His tomb, like his career, is musical, with records! His real name is also inscribed: Édouard Ruault. His epitaph? A defiant gesture against death and sadness: "Let the party go on!"

Pierre Bachelet (1944-2005), singer. He died on February 15, 2005, at the age of sixty, at his home in Suresnes, but was buried in Saint-Tropez. His hits include "Les Corons," "Elle est d'ailleurs," "Marionnettiste," and "En l'An 2001."
