THE SITE HAS NUMEROUS REMAINS OF RAILS AND STRUCTURES USED FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF CARS THROUGH THE QUARRY.
OPERATION REQUIRED NEARLY 2,100 METERS OF DRIGGING TRACKS.
The trail connected the posts to each other: the extraction sites,
the crusher, the private station and the pier.
The rails were dismantled and reassembled by workers at
according to the evolution of extractions and earthworks
To transport the materials extracted from the quarries, the
workers used wagons, drawn by horses
or pushed by men on the rails. In the sides
tilted, the carts were pulled by cables
powered by steam-powered winches.
The operating company has 29 iron wagons and 8
in wood in 1883.
From this period there remains only a wagon found on
the site and installed at the carriers roundabout.
The drag forms a bend towards the coast. In
1895 is built a bridge spanning the railway. He
was enlarged in 1900 and passed over the road to the
Cornice to allow the passage of wagons
first to throw the waste on the beach, then to the
transporter bridge: The bridge will be dismantled in 1956.
